Black Parrot Adult is a 15% protein general purpose parrot breeder and maintenance food. It has been formulated to provide the necessary nutritional requirements of adult birds and is suitable for both breeding parrots and as a general maintenance food.
Parrot Adult is balanced for essential nutrients such as protein, energy, vitamins and minerals eliminating the necessity to feed expensive supplements.
Parrot Adult contains fish oil, a rich source of omega 3 fatty acids EPA and DHA. These fatty acids support joint, cellular, feather and skin health.
Parrot Adult is manufactured as 4mm diameter pellets.
Black Parrot Range
Black Parrot pelleted diets take the guess work out of feeding parrots. Pellets eliminate selective feeding in birds and ensure that they receive the necessary nutritional requirements to maintain growth, vigour and vitality along with improved fertility and hatchability in breeding birds.
Black Parrot foods are designed to cover the various nutritional requirements of most breeds of grain eating parrots. Some breeds require a high protein and energy diet while others require a lower specification diet. If you are unsure of which food is best for your birds it is a good idea to try some of each to determine the best food or combination of foods.
Birds that have been raised exclusively on seed based diets may take a while to become accustomed to the different appearance and texture of pellets. The best way to introduce pellets is to add them to the usual diet and slowly increase the pelleted portion. This may take two to four weeks or even longer for older birds. As with all diets, it is extremely important fresh water is available at all times.
Feeding Recommendations
Feed Black Parrot Adult ad lib. as the sole diet, along with Black Parrot Chews or as a supplement to a grain or fruit based diet.
Ingredients
Black Parrot Adult is formulated from a selection of the following ingredients: Wheat, triticale, barley, oats, rice, peas, lupins, beans, lentils, canola, soya, sunflower and products derived from these ingredients. Fish oil, limestone, di-calcium phosphate, sodium bicarbonate, potassium carbonate, salt, lysine, methionine, threonine, tryptophan, isoleucine, valine, arginine, colouring, antioxidant and enzymes.
Vitamins: A, D3, E, K, B1 (thiamine), B2 (riboflavin), B5 (pantothenate), B6 (pyridoxine), B12, niacin, folic acid, biotin and choline.
Minerals: Calcium, phosphorus, sodium, chloride, cobalt, copper, iodine, iron, manganese, molybdenum, selenium and zinc.
