Ostrich 231 Grain Balancer

Ostrich 231 Grain Balancer is formulated to be mixed with on farm grains to provide a nutritionally balanced diet for ostriches from 3 months of age.
FEEDING RECOMMENDATIONS
Ostrich 231 Grain Balancer pellets should be mixed evenly with rolled or crushed grains to provide a nutritionally balanced diet containing essential nutrients such as protein, energy, vitamins and minerals.
Mixing ratios of Ostrich 231 Grain Balancer to grain are as follows;
Grower mix for birds 3 to 6 months of age,
50% Barley : 50% Ostrich 231 Grain Balancer
Finisher mix for birds from 7 months of age,
66% Barley : 34% Ostrich 231 Grain Balancer
Feed the grain balancer mixes ad lib from approximately 3 months of age or restrict feed intake if needing to slow growth.
It may be necessary to provide additional roughage in the form of pasture, chaff or ground hay. Hard grit (insoluble stone chips) should also be available to aid in the mastication of feed in the gizzard.
Ensure that clean fresh water is available at all times.
INGREDIENTS
Ostrich 246 Grower is formulated from a selection of the following ingredients:
Wheat, triticale, barley, oats, peas, lupins, beans, soyabean, canola, sunflower and by-products derived from these ingredients. Lucerne, fat, lysine, methionine, threonine, tryptophan, antioxidant, dicalcium phosphate, limestone and salt.
Vitamins: A, D3, E, K, thiamine (B1), riboflavin (B2), pyridoxine (B6), B12, niacin, pantothenic acid, folic acid, biotin and choline.
Minerals: Calcium, phosphorus, sodium, chloride, cobalt, copper, iron, iodine, manganese, molybdenum, selenium and zinc.
