Ostrich 246 Grower is a high quality grower food formulated to be fed to adolescent ostriches and as a maintenance diet for non-breeding adult birds.
Ostrich 246 Grower is nutritionally balanced for nutrients such as protein, energy, calcium, phosphorus, vitamins and trace minerals which are essential for good health, development and growth.

FEEDING RECOMMENDATIONS
Feed Ostrich 246 Grower pellets ad lib from approximately 8 weeks of age or from 5 weeks of age if leg problems have occurred due to excessive growth.
After about 10 weeks of age young ostriches ability to digest roughage increases, in order to promote this and reduce the incidence of gut impaction, lucerne meal is incorporated into the diet. It may be necessary to provide additional roughage in the form of pasture, chaff or ground hay. Hard grit (insoluble stone chips) should also be available to aid in the mastication of feed in the gizzard.
Ensure that clean fresh water is available at all times.

INGREDIENTS
Ostrich 246 Grower is formulated from a selection of the following ingredients:
Wheat, triticale, barley, oats, peas, lupins, beans, soyabean, canola, sunflower and by-products derived from these ingredients. Lucerne, fat, lysine, methionine, threonine, tryptophan, antioxidant, dicalcium phosphate, limestone and salt.
Vitamins: A, D3, E, K, thiamine (B1), riboflavin (B2), pyridoxine (B6), B12, niacin, pantothenic acid, folic acid, biotin and choline.
Minerals: Calcium, phosphorus, sodium, chloride, cobalt, copper, iron, iodine, manganese, molybdenum, selenium and zinc.
