Layers Premix 3:1
Layers Premix 3:1 is a concentrate which has been formulated to be mixed with on farm grains to provide a nutritionally balanced diet for laying hens.
FEEDING RECOMMENDATIONS
Layers Premix 3:1 is formulated to be mixed evenly with rolled or crushed grains at the ratio of 25% Layers Premix 3:1 to 75% grain. This mixture provides a nutritionally balanced diet containing essential nutrients such as protein, energy, vitamins and minerals.
A number of different grains can be mixed with the Layers Premix 3:1, the type of grain used will determine the energy content of the diet, for example a wheat based diet will have a higher energy content than a barley based diet. Generally as the energy content of a food increases the amount consumed decreases as layers tend to eat to meet their energy requirement
It is advisable to feed the Layers Premix 3:1 / Grain mix approximately two weeks prior to lay to ensure adequate storage of calcium in the bird prior to lay. Continue feeding the Layers Premix 3:1 / Grain mix ad lib during the laying period.
Ensure that clean fresh water is available at all times.
INGREDIENTS
Layers Premix 3:1 is formulated from a selection of the following ingredients:
Meat & bone meal, fish meal, blood meal, soyabean, canola, sunflower and by-products derived from these ingredients. Fat, peas, lupins, beans, lysine, methionine, threonine, tryptophan, antioxidant, natural egg yolk colouring, dicalcium phosphate, limestone, bentonite and salt.
Vitamins: A, D3, E, K, thiamine (B1), riboflavin (B2), pyridoxine (B6), B12, niacin, pantothenic acid, folic acid, biotin and choline.
Minerals: Calcium, phosphorus, sodium, chloride, cobalt, copper, iron, iodine, manganese, molybdenum, selenium and zinc.
