Sowlak Feeds
Sowlak feeds are palatable high performance sow lactation foods specifically formulated to enhance consumption and meet the nutritional demands of lactation. Nutritional requirements may vary due to a number of factors such as environment, disease, genetics, sow condition or piglet demand which along with the sow’s intake ability will determine which Sowlak diet is most suitable.

FEEDING RECOMMENDATIONS
Introduce Sowlak feeds 1 week prior to farrowing at a restricted intake rate. Following an initial step up feeding programme in the first week post farrowing, sows can then be fed ad lib throughout lactation.
The aim of feeding sows in lactation is to provide high levels of energy and quality protein to maintain high milk production and body condition. To maximise feed intake it is important to use a feeding programme that gradually increases feed consumption in the early part of lactation. Each sows feed allowance should only be increased if the sow has consumed all of the previous feed allowance. Ideally sows should be fed two or three times per day to stimulate feed intake and all stale remaining food should be removed from feed troughs prior to feeding the next feed allowance.
Sowlak feeds should be fed in conjunction with Dry Sow 870 as a two phase lactating/dry sow feeding programme.
