FEEDING RECOMMENDATIONS
The daily nutrient requirement of goats varies depending on a number of factors such as body size, breed, level of activity, level of milk production, stage of pregnancy and live weight gain. Approximate feeding levels for various production activities are shown below.
| ACTIVITY |
MFM GOAT BLEND (grams per day) |
| Milk Production |
450 - 550g per kilogram of milk produced per day |
| Fibre Production |
80 - 100g per head per day |
| Meat Production |
150 - 450g per head per day depending on desired growth rate |
| Late Pregnancy |
500 - 600g per head per day |
The above recommendations are a guide only. Feeding levels will need to be regulated to suit each individual situation. MFM Goat Blend should be introduced gradually and the amount fed increased until the desired amount is reached.
Do not make sudden changes in diet as digestive problems may result. We recommend, that if practical, MFM Goat Blend should be fed in a number of small feeds per day rather than a single large feed, as problems such as enterotoxaemia may occur.
MFM Goat Blend does not contain urea or other sources of non protein nitrogen.
Ensure that hay and fresh water are available at all times.
