FEEDING RECOMMENDATIONS

Heifer 909 pellets should be fed from 12 weeks of age at a rate of approximately 0.5 to 1.5% of their body weight per day until 2 to 3 months prior to calving. A transition feed such as Leed Feed should then be fed to assist calving. An addtitional roughage source such as hay, chaff or pasture must be provided to ensure gut function is maintained and heifers remain healthy.

Do not make sudden changes to feeding rates as digestive problems may occur. If digestive problems occur, substantially reduce or cease the amount of Heifer 909 fed and increase the roughage portion until normal digestive activity returns.

Ensure that fresh water is available at all times.
