SB1000 Rumen Buffer

SB1000 Rumen Buffer is a convenient source of sodium bicarbonate packed in a 10kg bag. Sodium bicarbonate is an economic and efficient rumen buffer that should be added to high grain diets fed to beef and dairy cattle. The normal inclusion rate of sodium bicarbonate in high grain diets is 1.0%, but this can vary depending upon consumption.

SB1000 Rumen Buffer has advantages over other rumen buffers such as bentonite as it is highly soluble in the rumen, does not swell once dissolved (which can reduce feed consumption) and does not affect the levels of minerals in the animals gut (bentonite has a tendency to absorb calcium and magnesium).
