Rumensin 05 Pellets

Rumensin 05 pellets are a more accurate and easy way to include rumensin into the diets of feed-lot cattle and dairy cows. Rumensin is used to improve feed efficiency in feed-lot cattle and can increase milk production in dairy cows under some conditions. The pelleted form of rumensin has a better ability to remain in suspension when mixed with grains compared to the granulated form particularly during movement such as automatic feeding systems or during transport.

The recommended inclusion rate of monensin (the active ingredient of Rumensin) in the diet of feed-lot cattle is between 50mg to 360mg per day and for lactating dairy cows 200 to 250mg per day.
The table below indicates how much Rumensin 05 pellets should be fed per head per day to reach a particular monensin intake.

CAUTION:

Rumensin 05 pellets must be mixed evenly into the complete ration or supplement. Do not exceed the recommended levels or administer to cattle treated with a Rumensin Anti Bloat

Capsule within the previous 100 days as high levels of rumensin can cause reduced feed intake, poor growth, disease and death.

Do not allow dogs, horses or other equines access to feeds containing Rumensin 05 as ingestion of rumensin can be fatal.

Do not use Rumensin 05 in goats producing milk for humans.
